A single quilled flower

 Hello...........my third post today.
This is a simple card with a single quilled flower made with 2mm strips, I liked how delicate it looked!! I have taken white card stock base, scored and folded it, then folded the front panel and handcut an oval shape.Used shocking pink and white acrylic colors and only using my fingers painted the front. Inside is painted with red and white mixed randomly.

the acrylic colors have given the paper a pretty pearly sheen, have used pink half pearls to frame it. The colors and the excessive ornamentation is reminiscent of Victorian art to me!!

Hope you like it...

Mother's Day Card

Hi Friends

This is something I created in memory of my mother whose love and affection is present as an ever-lasting fragrance in our lives even after 10 years. I plan to frame this and gift to my younger sister.

I made a lace flower for this and used Purple and pink pearl acrylic colors to dye it to match the frame, added some chunky glitter and a heart button too!!

.................some quilled flowers.....
... ....a teeny tiny butterfly.....
 .....the sentiment is from here.

Mothers day card by my little one

Hi Friends

Please indulge a proud mom today :)

This is a card made by my 10 year old son for Mother's day. I am proud that he did all the cutting, pasting, writing by himself, He just asked me my favourite colors and selected the paper from my stash. he has decorated all the surfaces of the card with leaves and butterflies.

inside  is his message written with the gold metallic pen. Pardon the overload on bling as these are the only jewels he can afford for his mom right now!!

Just could not stop myself from sharing this with all of you.
Cheers!!

Altered Items for Arty stuff storage

Altered  box and bottle

Hi Friends
I have altered an old packaging box I had and embellished the cover of it with pattern paper, quilling, border stickers some 3-D glitter  and rhinestones. The bottle is a Mango crush pack prettied up with some PP, border sticker, raffia  and some paint. I like to keep my paint brushes in this wide mouth tall bottle away from dust.
The total cost of the project is PP Rs 2/-+quilling strips Rs 2/-+raffia, Rs 1/-+border strip Rs 5/-+ bling Rs 2/-+ fevicol MR Rs 2/-& handmade paper scrap = Rs 14/-

Recycled Craft storage Bins

Hello friends

This is a craft storage solution I came up with using some empty cereal packs and other packages.

well started with this.................................

Three big empty packs of cereal  boxes taped together after cutting one side

one big pack of  cereal cut in a slanting way and taped together

one big pack of  cereal cut in a slanting way and taped together

tall empty bottle packs

The bottle packs fit in so this may work like a caddy

The bottle packs fit in so this may work like a caddy

so after a little upcycling using some pretty gift wrapping paper and you have this...............

Don't you think that there is nothing like a bit of PP, glue and some embellishments to pretty up just about anything!!

I have used white and gold gift wrapping paper  ( at about Rs 4 for a big sheet, have used three) and another leaf design paper for covering( at Rs 5/- for an A4 sheet, used five sheets here for four bins) , some thick metallic gold paper (which  I got free from a wedding card shop!! ) /handmade gold and brown paper, flowers punched out of the golden paper. The leaves are fussy cut from the leaf design paper and decoupaged on the boxes and finally added some pearls. I am using the tall bottle packs for storing my wooden blocks and other stuff.  And now my crafting stuff  his fits snugly in one space.........and am happy for the recycling bit too.

The total cost of the project is less than Rs 15 for each bin!!

hope you all like it ..............
